"I want to express my appreciation for the developer training you conducted. This was a first for both of us, in doing the training remote. Despite an 8 hour time difference, we agreed a time schedule that worked for both of us. I had experimented with OpenERP and done one client installation that had very limited features."

I learned how to establish a development environment, use of Eclipse and PyDev, how to inherit from the basic installation and modify it, how to write a new module from scratch, using views, model, wizards and reports. I learned how to trace the RPC calls from the client to and from the server, the reporting options available with OpenERP, and your poweremail module which is much more effective than the supplied email capability.

During the course, we developed an estimating module which I have since enhanced. I had the bare bones of the concept in mind, but had done no design work on it before the course. During the course, we designed the module and implemented views, model, initial data, workflow, and an RML report. I was amazed to accomplish so much during training.

Using notes from your training, I am preparing a packaged training course which I intend to make available to the community.
